We are still a long, longs ways from DC, but my traveling companion, Anne Marie, and I have made it to Phoenix. It was a pretty uneventful day -- just packing and getting everything into place -- but we know it is just the beginning of a whole lot of fun. And there was some toe nail polish being applied to the perfect shade to match all the outfits, so that was extremely important --- -- just ask any man who is traveling with his conference attending wife or companion. ;)
We started off with some errands in the Valley of the Sun -- control my excitement please -- and then had a great dinner at Chevy's in Scotsdale, Arizona. I got to enjoy the Happy Hour -- but not too much; while Anne didn't get to share at all!! Poor Anne Marie ...
Now it is early to bed so we are early to the airport (both flights before 7:00am) and then off we go ...
... Next stop ... Washington, DC!!!
